The Long, Deep Breath
…since I posted here.
…since I had the ability to blow out the cobwebs.
Have you ever found a period in time where you simply struggled for inspiration?
How about when you were inspired, but could not get the ideas out of your own mind?
Chewing paste is a somewhat appropriate phrase. So is mental constipation, for that matter.
The story of Sisyphus, comes to mind.
As the cobwebs of my mind are finally being shredded, I wonder, what was it that helped you push through a time of lack of inspiration or inability to express inspiration?
This time, it appears as though it was the combination of good friends that were patient enough to talk through my life at this point and flat out being with my family. Not bifurcated between work and family, but physically and mentally with my family. This latter event has not happened, sadly, in a long time.
How do you press through the dry creative times that inevitably haunt our lives?

If you are uncreative than the rest of us are cooked… No one who is truly creative ever really stops. It just is expressed in another manner that is more urgent at the time – which can go on for years. I’ve been planning to break into creative expression “anytime now” for about 30 years now. Despite the long delay, I keep that in front of me. That’s my advice. If not now, push it forward. You’ll get back there. That’s why writing down dreams is so important.
@glenntrevisan Thanks Glenn! I believe God was pulling me off the field for some needed rest. The creative juices, when they hit, overwhelmed me like a flood. I am now swamped, yet again, with so much I want to do, and not enough time to get it all done.
At least that’s a familiar stance in my life.. 😉
