Beating Lender Charges
As the market heats up, it’s important to maintain your housing purchase budget. Some of the fees associated with the closing of your home are lender charges. Depending on the mortgage pro, brokerage or bank you are using, these fees can add up relatively quickly. Dan Green, with Mortgage Reports, has a great article on how to beat or consolidate those charges.
The graphic in his post is pretty intriguing, especially for folks purchasing in the state of Michigan. On average, it appears as though lender fees in the state of Michigan are the fourth lowest in the country. Yet again making the case that purchasing real estate in Michigan can be a good investment.
University of Michigan Football Parking
With college football season on the near horizon (YAY!), comes a revamp of a relatively new service. Park n Party is a service whereby you can choose a place to park and tailgate and make a reservation. If golf course parking is not your thing and driving around attempting to find space on someone’s lawn is just not appealing, think of Park n Party as an OpenTable for tailgating. Concentrate has a good article on the revamp and new markets.
Shoe is on the Other Foot
BUH-RILLIANT! article on an individual sticking it to a bank, as banks have stuck it to many individuals over the years. Remembers folks, it pays to read the fine print.
My Bride
