Presence, Grace & Truth
The Brook Network has an ongoing series on spiritual leadership. Truly fascinating posts in the series. This one, however, jumped out at me this past week. Presence in Difficult Situations – this is not something at which I am good, however, something that I need to become better at, I am convinced.
Thoughts on Fatherhood
This past week, I was asked to guest post over at Rey(es) of Light, the blog of my friend Patrick Reyes. He has been on a campaign around fatherhood called, By Dads, For Dads. In my contribution to his campaign, I share how I went from a guy that did not even consider having children to a raving father of two awesome young men. I blame my wife, but that’s a good thing…
Slaying The Resistance
My friend and fellow real estate nut, Daniel Rothamel, has an excellent post that serves as a great reminder about pushing through the trials and test in life to slay The Resistance. I identify with this theme on many levels, during this time in life. Daniel’s use of the long distance running fits well too. I experienced a similar moment in high school when preparing to hike the last 100 miles of the Appalachian trail in Maine. As part of my training, I made it my goal that summer to run around Kensington Lake. Kensington is nine miles in circumference and not flat. It was more challenging mentally, than physically.
