Doing Good?
Don Miller is a new(er) author for me. I say newer, in that I only started to pick up his books about nine months ago. As an author, he writes in a tempo that I like. He expresses his thoughts and feelings via words that I would use, if I could actually, you know, write. In this post about doing good, Don expresses that as much as we may, or may not, keep our motives in check, God will use our deeds to His end.
Grow Where You Are Planted
Grace Chapel’s final sermon in the spring series on the Gospel. Sr Pastor Doug Walker takes us through I Corinthians 7:17-24 and shows that we are called to grow where we find ourselves. Be content and thankful. In other words, come as you are.
Work | Life | Balance
While I think we could all agree that a healthy work/life balance is a good thing for us to have, I do not think this balance is attainable for many folks. Rather, what is important is where we maintain our focus as we strive for balance. Bradley J Moore has a great post on the health issues surrounding workaholism. The beautiful part of this post are the comments. The comments bring to life the fact that some of us are *built* to work seemingly insane hours. While others choose to not be pressured by coworkers or society into an oversold bill of goods surrounding work/life balance.
