So, a while ago, I joined this online real estate community called ActiveRain. It’s a nifty community for real estate professionals (agents, lenders, home stagers, etc) to come together, swap business ideas and chat/commisserate about the current real estate market in our own little part of the country. The question I have asked myself from the word “Go” about this site is, “Why?”
Well, now I know the answer, and it is Localism.com. Localism is a real estate professional driven site with the consumer in mind. Since ActiveRain asks each professional where they are currently practicing, it was easy for them to break out the professionals by state and city. They then allow the articles that we write to speak for themselves and ourselves!
For the consumer of real estate services, this is a great way to locate those service providers that have an ease about using this new ‘Intarweb’ thingy for real estate! Localism also gives the consumer a one-stop shopping place for them to “kick the tires” of the service provider and see if there is a match for doing business together.
Give localism a ride and see what you can find. Moving to another state? Suspicious about the referral your local agent is making? Check localism to see if they are online, or if they are just on the sidelines.
