January 2010 – Hot Properties
So, unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for any period of time, you’ve probably heard that there are a fair number of foreclosures and short sale properties currently available on the active real estate market. A new feature here at the Professional One real estate blog will be to provide a monthly list of active foreclosure and short sale properties.
We call them “hot properties” because, typically, by a price per square footage basis, many foreclosure and short sale homes are a great price. In fact, the better the price, the quicker these properties disappear! With that in mind, if you see a smoking hot property here or anywhere else, and you think to yourself, “I’ll check into that later this week or next week,” chances are very good that the property will no longer be on the active market.
Contrary to popular belief, the market IS moving; the price and quality of the homes simply needs to be a great deal and then they’re sold!
