Day Twenty | 31 Days of Thanksgiving
[Today’s author is another Professional One agent. Jenny Sgroi is a Realtor at Professional One Real Estate who calls Plymouth home. Today, she shares the things for which she is most grateful this year.]
I absolutely love this time of the year. Holiday celebrations, family gatherings and the anticipation of the new year. It helps me to slow down from my fast-paced life and take a moment to reflect and give thanks for all I am grateful for in my life. I am incredibly thankful for the love and support of my family and friends. Especially my parents, who love me unconditionally and support me in every endeavor I tackle. They are there to help without ever having to ask.
I am thankful for my husband Joe. Going though life with my best friend by my side makes it unbelievable. He is gracious, humble, intelligent and an undeniably hard worker. I thank him daily for loving me and for being on my team.
This year I am especially thankful for the health of my dog Corona. Earlier this year she could barely walk. She tore her ACL and began developing hip dysplasia. We had to carry her everywhere. Since she couldn’t enjoy her daily walks, we would literally pull her in a wagon to go to the park in town. We took her to a holistic vet, Dr John Simon at Woodside Animal Clinic in Royal Oak. We did extensive therapy on her and without having to have surgery she is enjoying her walks again. Thank you Dr. Simon! At 11.5 years old Corona may walk a little slower, but she has many good years ahead of her and for that, I am most thankful!
As 2010 comes to a close, take a moment to slow down, reflect and ask yourself what you are most thankful for this year. With the new year approaching, my final comments as words to live by in 2011:
Live in the moment, don’t take things personally, laugh, love and give thanks…
Happy Holidays!
