Day Five | 31 Days of Thanksgiving
[Tara Michener is today’s guest blogger. Tara is another friend we’ve been fortunate enough to meet as a result of Social Media. She has a HUGE heart for children and teaching them about diversity and self-confidence. Tara is a published author and an all-around ball of energy who never seems to stop moving! As Tara likes to say, “Read something great!” Learn more about Tara and her husband/illustrator here. Oh, and if you are in possession of Twizzlers and diet Coke, guard them well! :-)]

When I was asked to write a blog on what I am thankful for I felt stumped. I have been blessed with so many great people in my life. The value of good relationships is truly priceless. Therefore I began exploring some of my favorite friendships. I have many people who have assisted me in my work, encouraged me when I felt tired and gave me a hug or a smile when I felt too exhausted to continue the tough projects that I can encounter on a daily basis. One person stands out amongst the rest.
Jason Michener is my best friend, my hubistrator (husband+illustrator) and creative director of my company. He has led up bake sales for the girls running team that I coach, raised funds for underserved organizations, walked down the streets of Ann Arbor laden in blue and gold streamers to get people into our Creative Showcase for literacy to name a few. I could go on and on but this is supposed to be a simple blog so I’ll end it here.
