I know, the name of the conference is the #140Conf Detroit, BUT…

If you are in the Mid West and are involved in, or interested in, social media, this conference is a “must-attend” for you.

This October 20th at the Fillmore in Detroit, @JeffPulver brings his 140 Conference to Detroit.  The 140 Conference is an international phenomena, highlighting how social media is shaping and changing our lives!  From personal interactions with family friends, all the way to changing how businesses interact with consumers and consumers interact with news outlets:  these are the stories that the 140 conference highlights, wherever it lands.

Why You Should Consider Attending the #140Conf…

First off, the illustrious, witty and freakin’ TALL Stephen Clark of WXYZ TV will be speaking at the conference!  If you are not familiar with Stephen, check him out on twitter, his blog and Channel 7 WXYZ at 6 pm, 7 pm and 11 pm…yep, he’s a news anchor.  Stephen’s use of twitter for the #BackChannel is what has increased his already stellar popularity.  BackChannel, very simply, is his way of ‘breaking down the glass’ between news outlets and viewers.  He can be caught, frequently, tweeting with viewers during commercials or in between segments…while on air.
